the Prose Tristan

Le Roman de Tristan en Prose Nine volumes (1987-1997) was translated under the direction of Philippe Menard (different editors for each volume). Renée Curtis translated "those parts of the Old French prose romance of Tristan which link that work with the Tristan legend." The volume is a single book of about 350 pages in which a number of sections of the original, including accounts of Pellinor and the Questing Beast (Curtis' the Howling Beast), are omitted or summarized.
