Son of Lot and Morgause and brother of Gawain. He married Laurel, the niece of Lionors and Lynette. In the Malory story, he assisted Mordred in revealing the adultery of Lancelot and Guinevere and arranged for them to be found in compromising circumstances. He was slain by Lancelot (in one of the sources he was slain in the battle at Guinevere's chamber) when Lancelot rescued Guinevere after she had been condemned to death.
